David Finch

My name is David, I have a B.S. Degree in Welding Engineering Technology, from Ferris State University, and I am a Certified Welding Inspector through the American Welding Society. I have been involved with metal fabrication for more than 15 years since I was in my first welding class in high school. Before starting my career in engineering, I worked construction with my Dad.

The company started working out of a garage, oh wait, it still is in a garage. Finch Fabrication LLC is a venture that I have started to keep myself more in the hands on, rather than the day to day of an office engineering environment all day during my primary day job.

The workshop

In my shop I have CNC plasma cutting capacities up to ½” steel 4’x4’, and ¼” aluminum 4’x4’. I have welding machines allowing me to be able to provide basic welding processes like GMAW (MIG), FCAW, SMAW (Stick) and GTAW (TIG). I can do light bending, forming and pressing with a shop press. I use a basic drill press and horizontal band saw to compliment needed processes with them. For final assembly and welding, I utilize my custom made fabrication table to fixture and weld your assemblies together.
